Wedding piper

Your personal piper, on your big day.

As your personal piper I am at your service for some months before the big day to discuss when you'd like me to play (see below), what music you'd prefer and even what you'd like me to wear.

On the day I liaise with minister/celebrant/registrar, venue organizer, videographer/photographer, and best man to ensure I fit in seamlessly with the proceedings and any last-minute changes to the plan.

  • Arrival of the guests
  • Arrival of the Bride
  • Piping the Bride down the aisle
  • Playing as the Bride and Groom sign the register
  • Piping the Bride & Groom from the service
  • Entertaining guests during the photography session

“Thank you for adding that special something to our wedding day. Many of the guests especially our family members from Australia and Canada commented on the wonderful music you played for us. Jan and I really appreciate it.”

“On behalf of my daughter I am writing to thank you again for the wonderful music at her wedding ceilidh. All the guests enjoyed the Scottish dancing and you did well to teach some of us Strip the Willow. It was a most memorable evening. Thanks again."

“I just wanted to write and tell you how much we enjoyed having you play at our wedding. You were absolutely fantastic. People were saying that it was as if you had practiced with us the day before- the way you just appeared out of nowhere at the exact moment needed to lead us out. It was actually pretty magical. You play beautifully and it was a real highlight of the day for us.”

“We just wanted to tell you how much we appreciate you playing for us on our wedding day. All the planning you did with us before the wedding paid off. You did everything we expected and more, with an ease and professionalism which had many guests commenting on your playing and your presence. We both felt you were in tune with what we wanted on the day. As you played that slow “Auld Lang Syne” at the end of the night with all friends and family circling tighter around us it was a moment we will savour for a long time

"Hi Neil, I just wanted to say a massive thank you for being part of our wedding. You were great and everyone loved the toast as well".

Caroline Smart
